FAA DELAYS release of 5G due to interference with the aircraft altimeters?
Airlines have had two years to get ready for this release but the FAA said it would have been catastrophic due to the 5G interference with the airplane instruments. This is an ongoing battle between Airlines and telecommunication companies across major metropolitan areas, hopefully this will get resolved soon without a catastrophe. There are two types of altimeters one that works with pressure and one that works with radio wave reflections.
The FAA is asking pilots to not use altimeters during landing at a large number of airports!
